When you call on Jesus, all things are possible

Text: ““This is God’s Message, the God who made earth, made it livable and lasting, known everywhere as God: ‘Call to me and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.’’ Jeremiah 33:2-3 MSG

Nicole C. Mullen’s song “Redeemer” is a statement of faith that was written during a time of pain and heartbreak in the her life. She wrote the song after reading the Book of Job and began singing it while playing her guitar on her bed. She described the song as a sacrifice of praise, a war cry, and a way to confess her beliefs during a difficult time. 

Mullen’s experiences with domestic abuse and infidelity during her marriage contributed to the song’s creation. She said that she learned more from her “night seasons” than she did during the day, and that her songs were likely written during those times. She also said that the more she saw unfaithfulness and destruction, the more she saw Christ’s gentleness. This is Mullen’s of expressing what happens when we call on Jesus. 

So though  I would have loved to talk about what you should do when you face challenging and trying times (Call on Jesus) because we all will at some point in our lives, the emphasis of this study today is what happens when you call on Jesus. This will encourage you to know that calling on Jesus is not something to toy with. 

The Bible passage we read said call on me and I will answer you then It mentioned some other things he(God) will do. 

Some of the things we experience when we call God during difficult times:

  1. We regain strength to continue without giving up. David regain strength when he called God to help him recover his family after they had been taken.
  2. We find joy even in the trying time and you will find this when people start asking you that are you really sure that you are really passing through all these. This is because the first and second points go hand in hand. The joy of the lord is my strength(Neh 8:10)
  3. God gives you wisdom to overcome or come out of the situation. In the Bible passage we read God said and I will tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you can never figure out on your own
  4. God fights for you. Ex 14:14. Tell God about the situation and the Bible said God will fight for you and you will hold your peace.

    John 14:14 ask for anything in my name, i will do it. When we ask for anything in Jeaus name, it will be done.

    Things are not only possible, they are assured of being completed, if it is Gods will.

    This means that we have to lean on and rely on what Jesus done for us all, the way He loved us all and gave His life up for us. How will Jesus do all that, only to not listen to us? It is impossible. Call, He will be there.

    We should take comfort and peace from what is written, and pray for wisdom to truly hold onto the word and understand what it really means. We can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

    ‘All things’ ‘Ask ANYTHING in my name’ the 2 verses quoted are not ambiguous, they are very clear. There is NOTHING God can not do for us.

    I pray that i can have full understanding in Gods word, that i hold God to His word and stand on it, in Jesus name.
