The Finger of God
Text: “the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart was hard and he would not listen, just as the Lord had said.”Exodus 8:19 NIV
Whenever God wants to do a strange thing he seldomly would bring out his finger to work the Miraculous.
There is a story of the man who was deaf and couldn’t talk brought to Jesus to be healed. Note that it wasn’t just a case of him being deaf or mute but he had both problems. Jesus in Mark 7:33, took him aside and put his finger into his ear then he spit and touched the man’s tongue so the man can be healed.
If we relate this story to that of the Israelites when they were in the captivity of Egypt, we can see the similarities in that they were both in bondage to something but God came through for them by bringing out by his finger.
For the reader of this devotional today, I don’t know what your prevailing circumstance or situation may be but I pray for you that the finger of God will locate you and deliver you permanently in Jesus name.
When the finger of God comes to your rescue, you will be overwhelmed with amazement like the young man. I pray for you that the finger of God will turn your tears into overwhelming amazements in Jesus name.
When the finger of God shows up for you, what your enemy thought they can easily achieve will become an impossible task for them; after the sands of Egypt became gnats, pharaoh called on his magicians to replicate the same trick but they failed and that was when they said this is the finger of God. I pray for you today that the finger of God will shame all the arsenals of your enemies in Jesus name.
