Now is the appointed time.
“The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:”- Deut 1:6
The God we serve is a God of time. Though he is not limited by time, he has apportioned time for all things. Ecc 3 says there is time for everything under heaven.
When Lazarus died, the bible said Jesus tarried for two more days because it was not time to act. Another example was when the mother of Jesus told him that there was no more wine in Cana of Galilee. John 2. He said to his mother, “Mother, my time has not come”. But when the time for the fulfilment comes, nothing can hold him back. (Nothing held back Lazarus from coming back to life, not the stone nor the grave clothes. Nothing held back the joy of the couple because their lack met superfluous provision)
Ps 102:13. NIV says “You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favour to her; the appointed time has come.” When it is the appointed time, two things must happen, 1. God will have compassion on you, 2. Favour will come upon you.
So because it is your appointed time, it doesn’t matter what you have been going through, you receive compassion and God’s favor comes upon you which makes you who have been forgotten be remembered (David as a case study). Even Jesse, his father, never considered him when it was time to choose who would be the next king. 1 Sam 16:10-12. But because it was his appointed time, no one was qualified.
Furthermore, he was honoured because Prophet Samuel and every other person had to be on their feet till David was brought back from the forest.
Beloved, this is your appointed time, so rejoice because it is your turn to shine.

When someone’s appointed time comes nothing can stop such a person because God will show him compassion and favour him which will make him to stand out from among the crowd.
