Not Satisfied With Just Being Saved
Genesis 12:7- Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.
I don’t know about you, but I am not satisfied with just knowing that I am righteous by faith. I also want to get to know the One who made me righteous. I want to have an intimate relationship with my Savior!
Abraham was such a man. He was righteous by faith, but he also had a close walk with God and was blessed by God in all things. (Genesis 24:1) His nephew Lot, on the other hand, although righteous too (2 Peter 2:7–8), had no heart for God. He ended up losing a lot when Sodom, the city he dwelt in, was destroyed along with Gomorrah. He was saved by the skin of his teeth!
My friend, do you want to be a Christian like Lot, righteous but always finding yourself in trouble, or do you want to be a righteous-and-blessed Christian like Abraham? Then, like Abraham, have a heart for God.
From place to place, Abraham would build an altar to the Lord. And in between altars, he grew very rich! (Genesis 13:2) There is no biblical record, however, of Lot ever building an altar to the Lord.
What is an “altar” in today’s context? It is a place where you know that you have a close relationship with God.
The place where you cast all your cares to the Lord and leaned on His love for you. That is “altar”.
We have got to have this kind of relationship with God, one full of “altars” that remind us of His love, goodness and faithfulness. Let’s not live the Christian life like Lot, saved by the skin of our teeth. Let’s walk closely with God as Abraham did, and be richly blessed in every area of our lives!

YES INDEED SIR, I HAVE CHOOSE TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE ONE WHO MADE ME RIGHTEOUS.
IF I DON’T HAVE A CLOSE RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS, HOW AM I GOING TO MAKE IT TO HEAVEN?
HE IS THE WAY
HE IS THE TRUTH
HE IS THE LIFE.
THERE IS NONE HOLY AS THE LORD GOD JESUS CHRIST THE SON OF GOD, WHO CAME TO GIVE HIS LIFE FOR ME TO HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.
MY LIFE IS IN HIM AND HIM ALONE. IT IS ONLY HE WHO CAME TO RECONCILE ME BACK TO MY RIGHTFUL INHERITANCE.
I WILL NOT FOLLOW ANY OTHER, REGARDLESS THE LONG SUFFERING I HAVE BEEN OR STILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH.
IT TEACHES ME TO HUMBLE AND JUST PUT ALL MY TRUST IN HIM.
I KNOW WHERE I AM COMING FROM AND WHERE I AM TODAY.
Thank you pastor Enoch Alamu for your heartfelt teaching to the straight and narrow road that leads to salvation. And not the wide and easy road 🛣️ that leads to distruction. Like many others who are just after a big crowd and money.

Lord help me for I want to get to know You more and more. I want to have an intimate relationship with my Source and Sustainer.

An altar is where we alter things and become empowered to bring to realization the fullness of God’s intentions for our lives.
Wherever an altar is, there spirits operate. And it is only by the Spirit we can achieve all things. The more altars we establish, the more we are empowered by the Spirit and command divine presence.

An intimate relationship with Jesus Christ is everything! When we have one, we can not be led astray or disappointed. The Holy Spirit watches our for us and we become sensitive to His voice! I choose this day to be like my ancestor Abraham, to build a close and relationship with my father by applying hotporker principle. I don’t want to know him from the distance.

Talking about walking with God closely with Abrahamvhere is what I can also say
God had called Abram out of an idolatrous environment to live amidst extremely idolatrous people. Abram was aware that he was God’s instrument through which the whole earth was to be blessed. He could not afford to be distracted by the environment. He had to keep his spiritual focus. Abram did this by continually building altars to God. Altars represent our worship to God. They represent a place of private communion with our heavenly Father. Building the altar was a reminder to Abram that God was his only source of hope. Without continually calling on God, he could not fulfill the call God had placed on his life. Building an altar to God was a priority in his life. As pastor Enoch said

is interesting that before Elijah prayed for the rains to fall after the drought, he called the people together “and he repaired the altar of the LORD, which had been torn down.”
The state of our altar reflects the state of our worship and our relationship to God. I
Let us build a person relationship with our God having specific time to pray during the day. .by Choosing to have an intimate relationship with the One who made us righteous- Jesus Christ. 🙏

Keeping an alter of prayer everywhere , anywhere , whatever time is very paramount. I remember as a young girl my mum always taught me to keep a song and prayer in my heart. This is showing me that its important to stay in prayer and live a life that is consecrated with God. It is important .. thank you Pastor for this powerful devotion .
