Have Faith in God
“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” – Hebrews 11:6 (ESV)
Daring faith is the courage to trust God fully, even when the path is unclear or the odds seem insurmountable. Hebrews 11:6 reminds us that faith is essential to our relationship with God. It is through daring faith that we step into the unknown, believing in His promises and experiencing His rewards.
I’ve faced moments when stepping out in faith felt risky—decisions that required me to trust God more than my own understanding. In those moments, I learned that daring faith is not the absence of fear but the willingness to act despite it, knowing God is faithful.
The Bible is filled with examples of daring faith. Noah built an ark on dry land, trusting God’s word about a flood no one else could imagine (Hebrews 11:7). Abraham left his homeland without knowing where he was going, believing in God’s promise to make him a great nation (Hebrews 11:8). These stories inspire me to take bold steps of faith, even when the outcome is unseen.
Peter’s walk on water in Matthew 14:28-29 is another powerful example. When Jesus called him to step out of the boat, Peter’s daring faith allowed him to experience the miraculous. But when he focused on the wind and waves, he began to sink. This reminds me that daring faith keeps its eyes on Jesus, trusting Him even when life feels stormy.
Daring faith doesn’t mean we won’t face challenges. In fact, it often requires us to confront our fears and doubts. Yet, 2 Timothy 1:7 encourages me: “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” This assurance strengthens my resolve to trust God’s power working through me.
Jesus commends daring faith. In Matthew 17:20, He says, “For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” Even small faith, when placed in a big God, can accomplish the impossible.
Daring faith invites us to dream bigger, trust deeper, and live boldly for God. It’s not about our strength but about His power working through our obedience. Let Hebrews 11:6 remind you that your faith pleases God and opens the door to His rewards.
