God’s Timing is Perfect
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” – Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV)
Waiting can be one of the hardest things to do, especially when we’re believing God for something important. Whether it’s a job, marriage, healing, financial breakthrough, or any other desire, the waiting season can feel frustrating and even discouraging. But the truth is, God’s timing is always perfect. Even when it feels like things are delayed, God is never late—He is always working behind the scenes to bring His best for us.
We live in a world of instant gratification, where we want everything now. Fast food, fast internet, quick success—waiting is not something we enjoy. But God doesn’t operate on human timelines. He is not in a hurry. He sees the bigger picture and knows exactly when the right time is for everything in our lives. Just because something hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean it won’t happen. It simply means that God is still preparing you, the situation, or both.
A young man named David learned this lesson the hard way. He had a strong passion for ministry and believed God had called him to be a pastor. He expected doors to open quickly, but instead, he faced rejection after rejection. Every time he applied for a leadership role, he was told he needed more experience. Disappointed and frustrated, he started to question whether he had truly heard from God.
One day, while studying Ecclesiastes 3:1, he felt God speaking to his heart: There is a season for everything—trust My timing. Instead of trying to rush into something before he was ready, David decided to use this waiting period to grow and prepare. He studied the Word, took mentorship opportunities, and served faithfully in his church. Years later, when the right door finally opened, he realised that had he been given the opportunity earlier, he wouldn’t have been spiritually or mentally prepared for it. God’s delay was not a denial—it was preparation.
If you are in a season of waiting, take heart. God is not ignoring you. He knows the desires of your heart, and He is working everything out for your good. Sometimes, He delays things to protect us from making mistakes. Other times, He’s building something in us—patience, wisdom, character—so that when the blessing finally comes, we will be ready to handle it. Rushing ahead of God can lead to unnecessary struggles, but waiting on Him always leads to His best.
While you wait, don’t focus on what hasn’t happened yet. Instead, use this season to grow spiritually, develop your skills, and strengthen your faith. Trust that when the time is right, God will open the right doors. His plan is always greater than anything we could imagine, and He never makes mistakes.

Gods timing is perfect. He will make sure that all due diligence has been completed and all necessary skills have been learned. He will never just do something without preparation.
Look at David in the bible, king Saul knew he was blessed and next in line for the throne and went after him to kill him. David waited on God to deal with his issues, when he caught Saul in the cave and again whilst he was sleeping. David could have ended Sauls life on each ocassion, but remained obedient and waited on God. It was not long until God delivered Saul.
Gods timing was perfect, and David was ready for his kingship.
I pray that we never unduly worry about things we perceive as late, God is working for our good all the time.
