For the latter shall be greater than the former
”The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.“- Haggai 2:9 KJV
It is God’s desire that each period in our lives is better than the previous one. Are you saying Pastor Enoch, I am scared of the future. My past has been rough, and I am fearful of what tomorrow holds for me?
Have you forgotten how he changed Jacob’s life? Jacob was known as a supplanter because he cunningly took his brother’s birthright. His life wasn’t at its best until his life changed when he wrestled with the Lord. Immediately, his name was changed to Israel, and he became the father of God’s people.
Precious one, why worry about the future when God has said you should cast all your cares on Him (1 Peter 2:9)? He has promised that your future will be greater than your past. The scripture makes us understand that He who started a thing will finish it. He doesn’t stop anything halfway.
All you need to do is to trust God because you can only make progress with God (Proverbs 4:18). The scripture reveals that he has thoughts of good and not of evil, to give us a future and hope – Jeremiah 29:11
Every each new day is a better day for you. Every new year is a better year. God is bringing you restoration, and for your shame, you are having double honour (Isaiah 61:7).
Don’t allow the guilt of the past to hold you down. It’s an old trick the devil is always using. You are a new man, and old things have passed away. You are not ignorant of the devil’s devices (2 Corinthians 2:11)
No matter the feats you have achieved before, God is saying there’s more I will still do through your life. Don’t settle for the status quo. There is so much more He’s bringing you into. Nations are coming to your light and kings to the brightness of your rising.
You can’t be stranded. You can’t be confused because the greater one lives inside of me. It’s a brighter and greater day for you. Go and possess the gates of your enemies.
