Enforcing your victory
”Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.“- Deuteronomy 2:24 KJV
Prophecies are great, God’s promises are fantastic, but neglecting His principles makes God look like a liar. We know that God can not lie (Hebrews 6:18). So many Christians go about celebrating prophecies and God’s promises for their lives but neglecting His principles and thereby leading to frustration and bitterness.
One of the key principles to seeing the fulfilment of God’s word is enforcing your victory through prayer. When you receive a word from the Lord, it is not the time to start jumping around but rather a time to press and tarry in prayer for its fulfilment. The bible says the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much (James 5:16).
Mind you, you are not fighting for victory but fighting from the point of victory. Halleluyah. So your victory is assured. It is time to enforce your victory over that sickness, over that marital spell, and over every unwanted situation. God has promised us victory. So it is time to enforce His word to manifestation, and we do this by travailing in prayer (Isaiah 66:8).
Peter was arrested for his works for Christ and was thrown in prison to be executed. However, the Church understood the victory they have in Christ and tarried in prayers for Peter. Their prayers brought forth answers so that an angel of the Lord came to rescue Peter. They did not just live with the knowledge of their victory. They enforced it through prayers.
Elijah was just a man like you and I. He prayed for rain to cease from falling, and it rained not for three years and 6 months. He prayed again that it rained and there was rain (James 5:17-18). This is how we command victory, and God is not a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34).
For you to walk in the reality of victory, you must understand that while Christ has gotten the victory for you, you must play your part by making sure it happens. Remember, the Lord’s prayer says “Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven” (Matt. 6:10).
It is time to fire up in prayer, enforcing God’s prophecies and promises to find fulfilment in our lives.

One of the ways we can enforce the victory that Jesus Christ came to pay for is through prayer.
In Deuteronomy though God had given the children of Isreal the victory, he said they should contend for it: when we do so it means we are obedient and trust our father.
