Endurance through the Test of Time!
Isaiah 40:31 – “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40: 31 reminds us, “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” In the grand scheme of life, time weaves a narrative that unfolds with moments of joy, challenge, and change.
As followers of Christ, we are not exempt from the test of time, but we are assured of the sustaining grace that accompanies us through every season. Scripture assures us in Psalm 90:4, “For a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in the night.” God, who stands outside the constraints of time, is our anchor through the receding tide and flow of our earthly journey. In the test of time, His promises endure, unwavering and true.
Consider the life of Joseph, whose journey led him from the pit to the palace. In the prison of time, Joseph clung to his faith, and eventually, God’s promises unfolded with divine precision. Genesis 50:20 captures the essence of his testimony, “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.” As we navigate the test of time, let us embrace the refining process. In this process everything may seem to be falling a part in our lives or that we are being stretched beyond our capacities, but the essence of that is not that God is punishing us, but God wants to produce that virtue of patience out of our lives and to trust Him to develop our faith in Him. James 1:2-4 encourages us, “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”
In the moments when time feels like a relentless force, remember that God’s timing is perfect. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” The test of time is an opportunity for endurance, and through it, we soar on wings of faith. So learn to just submit yourself to God, for God to occupy our season with patience and endurance, which will allow things to work out in us and bring forth good virtues in our lives.

Gracious Father, I express gratitude for orchestrating everything for my benefit. Despite disappointments, I trust in your abundant grace to sustain me. I declare that I will run without weariness, walk without fainting, and soar like an eagle. I decree that my timing is perfect, firmly believing that only good things are destined for me. I stand unwavering in faith, patiently refining my skills, with the assurance that you, who initiated a good work in me, will continue it throughout my life. Thank you, Father, in the name of Jesus.
