As Far as You Can See: Trusting God’s Limitless Vision

Genesis 13:14-15 (NIV)
“The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, ‘Look around from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west. All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever.”

After parting ways with his nephew Lot, God speaks to him with a promise that transcends the physical landscape—God invites Abram to envision the vast expanse of the land, saying, “All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever.”

This moment is not merely about the geography of the promised land; it’s about the expansiveness of God’s vision and the depth of His promises. In the same way, God invites us to lift our eyes and see beyond our current circumstances, trusting in His limitless vision for our lives. God’s promise to Abram was not limited by what was immediately visible; it encompassed a future beyond the horizon of the present. Similarly, God’s promises for us go beyond our current situations, limitations, and perspectives. His vision for our lives is vast, all-encompassing, and boundless. In our human limitations, we often see only a fraction of what God has in store. Yet, God invites us to trust in His perfect vision and promises. The challenges we face, the uncertainties that surround us—these are not the end of the story. God sees beyond the obstacles, and His promises stand firm, extending far beyond the scope of our current understanding.

The invitation to “look around” is a call to a posture of faith—an acknowledgement that God’s vision exceeds our own. It challenges us to trust in His faithfulness, even when we can not see the entire path before us. It calls us to lift our eyes from the limitations of the present and fix them on the boundless promises of our Creator.

As we navigate the journey of faith, may we, like Abram, be attuned to the voice of God and the expansiveness of His promises. May we trust in His vision, even when our own sight is limited. The land that God promises may not be fully visible now, but it is sure, steadfast, and everlasting. As we look around with eyes of faith, may we find assurance, hope, and the courage to walk confidently in the path that God has laid out for us.

Confession

WE OFTEN SEE ONLY A FRACTION OF WHAT GOD HAS IN STORE, YET, GOD INVITES US TO TRUST IN HIS PERFECT VISION AND PROMISES.

GOD HONOURS HIS WORD ABOVE HIS NAME.

HE SAID IN THE BOOK OF ACTS 1 V 8 THAT WE SHALL RECEIVE POWER AFTER THE HOLY GHOST HAS COME UPON US.

I AM A LIVING WITNESS UNTO HIS PROMISES. REGARDLESS OF WHAT I GO THROUGH
I SHALL NOT BE MOVED BY WHAT I SEE
NOR BY WHAT I EXPERIENCE. GOD’S PLAN FOR MY LIFE IS GOOD AND NOT OF EVIL TO GIVE ME A HOPE AND A FUTURE.

I LOVE WHEN MY DEARST PASTOR SAYS…. ANYTHING GOOD IS GOD AND ANYTHING BAD IS OF THE DEVIL. GOD ALLOWS US TO GO THROUGH TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS, SO WE BECOME OVER COMERS. WITH GREAT TESTIMONIES.

WE OVERCOME THE DEVIL BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB AND BY THE WORDS OF OUR TESTIMONIES.

JESUS TOLD HIS DISCIPLES TO WAIT ON GOD’S PROMISE. AND IT CAME TO PASS AS WE READ AND ALSO EXPERIENCE HIS WORD IN OUR LIVES. HALLELUJAH!!!

    THANK YOU HEAVENLY FATHER
    THANK YOU JESUS
    THANK YOU HOLY SPIRIT.

I PUT MY TRUST IN GOD ALMIGHTY ALONE TO LEAD AND GUIDE ME IN HIS OWN TIMING INTO MY PLACE OF DESTINY. FOR I AM COMFIDENTLY PERSUADED THAT MY REDEEMER LIVES.

HALLELUJAH HALLELUJAH HALLELUJAH GLORY BE TO MY GOD AND MY LORD.
